Our Services
We offer a comprehensive range of home healthcare services, including personal care and hygiene, mobility support, post-surgical care, wound and catheter care, visiting nurses, insulin administration, medication management, wheelchair assistance, respiratory therapy, and G-tube care.
Skilled Nursing Services
Skilled nursing encompasses medically intensive tasks performed by licensed nurses, such as wound care, IV therapies, tube feedings, and respiratory monitoring. This category is critical for veterans who require regular medical interventions that go beyond basic support. Services also include monitoring vital signs and managing acute and chronic medical conditions at home, making skilled nursing essential for maintaining the health and safety of elderly and disabled veterans.
Home Care
We provide home health care to anyone in need, offering services such as personal care, transfer assistance, meal preparation, medication administration, light housekeeping, and post-surgical care, among others.
Personal Care Services
These unskilled services are geared toward aiding veterans in their daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and general hygiene assistance. Personal care services allow veterans or their spouses to maintain a healthy routine while relieving some of the caregiving responsibilities from families. Although unskilled, these services are essential for veteran's well-being and dignity, particularly for those with limited mobility.
Medication and Health Management
Medication management ensures that veterans receive their prescribed treatments safely and accurately. This may include medication administration (such as insulin or seizure medication), as well as overseeing health routines specified by a physician. Health management support is integral to preventing health complications and is tailored according to the veteran’s specific medical conditions.
Family Education and Respite Care
AKJ Pillars of Support LLC also provides respite services and family training, which are crucial for supporting caregivers. Training empowers families to manage medical equipment, administer basic care, and understand signs of health deterioration. Respite care offers temporary relief to caregivers, helping them recharge and maintain their own well-being, which ultimately benefits the entire family dynamic.
